Church Planting Projects
We believe that the Biblical example of planting churches is that churches start churches. Churches in the New Testament were not started by well-meaning individuals, nor by large, parachurch organizations or fellowships. Local churches sent out men, who started new local churches. We have chosen to be proactive about starting churches.
Right now we are making plans to start our third church. Bro. Preston Hoiseth, our Associate Pastor has announced plans to move to northern Minnesota in an effort to plant a brand new independent, fundamental Baptist Church in or near the Bemidji area. They are planning to start in the Spring of 2012. Their deputation website is www.thehoiseths.com.
In October of 2010, we started our second church plant. Bro. Joseph Langley came on staff here at Faith in March of 2010. He and his family were sent out to start Heritage Baptist Church in Bartow, Florida, in October of 2010. For more information about the Langleys or Heritage Baptist Church, check out their new website: www.heritagebaptistbartow.org
Our first "baby" church was Cornerstone Baptist Church of Spring Hill, Florida. Pastor Rossiter was our Associate Pastor for five years, before the Lord led him to plant this church. We are happy to report that since Cornerstone organized, they have continued to grow and flourish under the sound preaching of God's Word. Praise the Lord!
